Chinese Traditional Wooden Boat
This is a model of a traditional Chinese wooden boat. This type of flat-bottomed boat is common in East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, where it is commonly used as a traditional fishing boat, and for short-haul shipping in coastal areas or rivers. Some sampans (Sampan, meaning "three boards") are equipped with a small boat shelter for long-term residence in inland waters. Due to the flat-bottomed structure of the ship, it is usually sailing inshore or in rivers, and is not suitable for sailing in bad weather.
